Manfred Müller

"MANFRED MÜLLER's interest in the relationship between architecture and sculpture has greatly informed his art making. Earlier abstract paper pieces evoked capes, mantles, and coats.
His recent work including the "Prelude," "UMS," and "LCI Dawn" series all use paper folded, scored and painted. While the latter two series tend to favor flatness, Muller's subtly unconventional compositions and evocative use of depth allow the pieces to maintain a strong connection with the sense of space in his previous works.
